First Blog!

Hello blog world! So, with the loving nudging of my fabulous husband, and my own want to have to have a blog, welcome to the Cooper's blog! I really have been wanting to make one for me and Chris, and now that we have been married for almost a year, we thought it would be a fun way to document our coming years/experiences/feelings/whatever from now on.

To update what has been going on as of late: I am finishing school at Utah Valley University, I am so excited this will be my last year! I am majoring in Community Health Education. I just finished my first week at my new internship at the United Way, and am very excited to work on Welcome Baby, and Help Me Grow programs. Chris is attending his last year at Brigham Young University majoring in Biology. He completed the DAT and has applied to dental school, so now we are just waiting on pins and needles to see the outcome of where we will go next fall! I am so proud of him <3.

At church we got what I like to call our first "grown-up" calling as Sunbeam teachers! We really love it (most of the time) especially because they split our huge class of 12 children in half :) It is so fun to teach them basic gospel principals and see how they think. I have to say though, the little girls are my favorite, they are so cute! I also really love seeing Chris in action with little 3/4 year-olds, it's pretty tender!

Chris has been playing bass for while in a band called Burning Olympus. They are so good! (And I'm not just saying that because I'm married to one of them!) Check them out on Facebook or Myspace. They play shows in Provo and SLC but later this month they are playing a show in Reno for a Diabetes benefit concert. And guess who they get to play with? The Ataris!!! An actual famous band!

Phew! Well that was quite a long first post, hopefully soon I will get the hang of this blogging thing and add cute things on here soon!
